Drum granulator is a molding machine that can produce materials into specific shapes. The rotary drum granulator is one of the key equipment in the compound fertilizer industry, suitable for cold and hot granulation, as well as large-scale production of high, medium, and low concentration compound fertilizers. The main working method is wet granulation of granules, which uses a certain amount of water or steam to fully react the basic fertilizer after being humidified in the cylinder. Under certain liquid phase conditions, the rotating motion of the cylinder generates squeezing force between the material particles to aggregate into balls. The main features of the rotary drum granulator are as follows:

Working principle of rotary drum granulator:



This series of rotary drum granulators is driven by a main motor to drive a belt and pulley, which is then transmitted to the drive shaft through a reducer. The drive shaft is meshed with a large gear ring fixed to the machine body through a split type gear installed on the drive shaft, working in opposite directions. The material is added from the feeding end and processed into particles through the special structure inside the cylinder, and then flows out through the discharge port. Due to the continuous influx of materials and the continuous rotation of the granulator, large-scale production can be achieved. The rotary drum pellet machine is based on the circular motion of machinery, with the motor as the power source, driving the gears to transmit to the main shaft and flat mold. Under the action of friction, the pressure wheel rotates on its own, creating a high friction temperature between the pressure wheel and the template. This causes the powdered material to undergo high-temperature gelatinization, protein coagulation and denaturation, and is extruded from the mold hole under the pressure of the pressure wheel. The resulting pellets are then sent out of the machine through the discharge port by the feeding disc.



The rotary drum granulator can be divided into five main parts:



1. Bracket part: The entire rotating part of the machine is supported by the bracket, which bears a large amount of force. Therefore, the wheel support frame of the machine is welded with medium carbon steel plate and channel steel, and has passed strict quality control and special process requirements, achieving the purpose of the machine. In addition, what is more important is the supporting wheel fixed on the frame. Considering the significant friction between it and the rolling belt of the machine body, our factory has specially selected anti-corrosion and wear-resistant materials, greatly improving the service life of the machine. The supporting wheel frame also adopts casting integrated technology. In addition, there are lifting hooks at the four corners of the roller frame for easy loading, unloading, and transportation.



2. Transmission part: The transmission part of the entire granulator is particularly important, and the entire machines operation follows this. The transmission system is welded with channel steel and has passed strict quality requirements. The main motor and reducer installed on the transmission frame are both ISO exempt products with reliable quality. The electric motor drives the pulley, V-belt, and reducer to drive the main shaft, making the machine work. The transmission reducer and the working part of the main shaft are driven by a nylon column pin coupling.



3. Large gear: fixed on the body, meshes with the transmission small gear, and drives the body to work in opposite directions.



4. Rolling belt: fixed on both sides of the body to support the entire body.



5. Body part: Made of medium carbon steel plate welded together, with special rubber lining or acid resistant stainless steel lining built-in, achieving automatic scar removal and tumor removal, eliminating the traditional scraper device, and achieving the purpose of this machine through strict quality control and special process requirements.
